Hi my name is Marilyn Grant. I’m Paul Storey’s mother. Thank you for the kind words that you wrote about my son. First I would like to say to Keith, I’m very sorry that you lost your friend. I think of him all the time. Paul didn’t kill your friend. I know you are in a lot of pain. Losing someone you love hurts. My family is in pain as well. Did you know that Paul said those things to protect his family? Did you know that Mark Porter called my house and promise to kill Paul’s brother and I if Paul didn’t take the blame for this? No I’m sure you don’t. I pray that someday you can forgive. May God be with you.

My name is Keith Cooper, and my best friend was Jonas Cherry. He is who Paul Storey robbed and murdered on October 16th, 2006. It sickens me to think that this piece of shit is telling people it wasn’t him. What a joke! Paul was the ring leader it was his plan and he shot my best friend 6 times mostly in the head FACT! That is Paul Storey, that is who he is. To anyone that reads this blog this is the truth he wants attention and people to feel sorry for him but the truth is he did this to himself. He didn’t have to kill Jonas but he chose too. I miss Jonas everyday and not a day goes by I don’t think of him. But the truth is people like Paul Storey wind up in jail for a reason and if he didnt kill Jonas he would have killed someone else.

Thank you for sharing with us. I know it takes a lot of courage to speak out to a country that has in the past painted awful images on the publics minds of all prisoners and especially death row inmates. I also know that our legal system is very flawed, and has become worse because those people who are seeking revenge instead of justice have had the louder voices. Today there are more and more people giving voices to those who should never have been sentenced or have been unjustly sentenced to lengthy time in our prisons. I pray for you. I pray that you have peace, and I pray that our voices are not to late for anyone.

Dear Mr. Storey,
Thank you so much for sharing with us a little about your life. You are right, the world doesn’t understand that our justice system isn’t always just. And that there are decent, loving, even Christ-like people in prison who made terrible mistakes. We have ALL made mistakes. I read somewhere, “There are two types of offenders in this World, those in prison and the rest of us.” So very true. There is only one exception to this statement, and HE was executed on a cross. My prayers are with you, my friend. God Bless and Keep You.
